As reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, servicemen from the Chechen Republic arrived in the city of Rubizhny to reinforce the group and began evicting civilians from private homes to house their officers.
Also, in the temporarily occupied part of the region, the russian invaders are forcing the residents to get russian passports, and the employees of budget organizations to also hand over Ukrainian ones. Those who disagree are threatened with eviction.
In the Svativ district, in order to hide the engineering equipment of the territories, the occupiers forcibly evicted the residents of the Honcharivka and Kuzmenivka settlements from their homes and took them deep into the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region.
Terror and ill-treatment of civilians in temporarily occupied territories is a war crime under Article 8 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
I appeal to the UN Commission for the Investigation of Human Rights Violations during the russian military invasion of Ukraine to take into account these facts of russian crimes and violations of human rights in Ukraine.
